Car driver sought after accident on the A134 at Shimpling

Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident on the A134 yesterday evening at Shimpling after a car left the road and struck a tree.

At around 4.45pm a blue Mazda with a black vinyl roof was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa causing its driver to leave the road and collide with a tree.

The driver had minor back injuries and an ambulance was called to the scene.

The Mazda drove off towards Bury St Edmunds and was seen shortly after 5pm driving erratically on the A134 in Ingham, say police.

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident. Contact Pc Mel Hayward at Sudbury on 101.
