Burglars steal a pouch of tobacco after targeting two neighbouring homes in Bury St Edmunds
A householder heard a creaking noise in the hallway, and found a burglar had fled empty handed leaving the front door open.
A burglar stole a pouch of tobacco from the neighbouring house in Hepworth Avenue, Bury St Edmunds at about 4.30am on Sunday.
In both cases doors to the properties had been left unlocked.
Police are reminding people to make sure doors and windows are locked before going to bed, or if leaving the house.
