Builders firm in Bury St Edmunds sees record sales after launch of joinery workshop
Moore and Stone
A team of builders based in Bury St Edmunds is celebrating record sales and is about to supply joinery to trade customers.
Moore & Stone in Northern Way, opened a new joinery a year ago to support its existing building business and additional demand for high quality tailor made fixtures and fittings.
A year on and the project has been such as success that joinery specialist Phil Flame who run the workshop, has taken on experienced carpenter and joiner Reed Bailey.
The building firm says the workshop combines the most up to date joinery machinery with traditional craftmanship and skills, allowing it to ensure high quality for its customers.
It is now extending that to supply trade customers as well.
“Over the the past year we have seen demand grow and grow for bespoke joinery products such as sash and casement windows, complete staircases, bannisters and handmade kitchens,” said director Matt Stone.
“It’s great testimony to Phil and the quality of his work that now we are not only supplying joinery products for projects we are working on, but word has spread and we are receiving enquiries from others in the building trade, both builders and builders merchants, who don’t have the capacity to manufacture themselves.”
