Birdseye shot shows Christmas Fayre crowds
A birdseye shot of Bury St Edmunds' Angel Hill and Abbey Gardens as visitors flood in for the ninth annual Christmas Fayre
This birdseye view of Bury St Edmunds’ shows the town is already teeming with visitors for this year’s Christmas Fayre.
The picture, by micro-light pilot Steve Wilson, was taken today as lunchtime approached and shows that this year’s fayre promises to be bigger than ever.
Shoppers filled the streets from the arc to the Abbey Gardens to feast their eyes on an array of stalls selling everything from wooly hats to artisan meats.
The Greene King stage on Angel Hill kept everyone in the festive mood with performances from harmony singing group, the St Edmund Octet, and the County Upper Swing Band.
Entertainment will continue throughout the weekend, with stalls set to stay until Sunday.
