Betting tipster was wrong - ASA
The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has upheld two complaints against a Rattlesden-based betting tipster who selected losing horses.
James Jary runs the Private Circle laying service, which boasted a strike rate of 90 per cent and an average price of 6/1 in an advert placed in The Racing Post.
A complaint was made to the ASA challenging whether either of these claims could be substantiated – the ASA investigated and concluded they could not, which was breaching codes on truthfulness and substantiation.
Mr Jary, who has been told the ad must not appear in its current form again, described the complaint as 'absolute rubbish'.'
He declined to comment further.
