Best baristas set to battle in Bury St Edmunds

The best baristas from across the region will be battling to impress judges at the heat of a competition in Bury St Edmunds next week.

The event at The Apex, takes place from 9am on Tuesday and Wednesday next week and is being hosted by Bury St Edmunds based coffee roasters and wholesaler Butterworth and Son.

Entry is free – as is the coffee although collections will be taken for the coffee growing countries.

The competition will see baristas given 15 minutes to make four expressos, four cappuccinos, and four expresso based non-alcoholic drinks. The national finals are in London in April and the winner of that will go to the international championships in Australia.
