Barn owl site
A BARN owl sighting report website has been set up by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
The site at www.ispywildlife.org/barnowl allows people to click on a map to log their sighting. The trust has a long term project to monitor barn owl population in the county but is worried that the recent wet weather may have hit the owl’s at a crucial time for nesting. Owls’ feathers are soft and downy to make them silent in flight, but that also means their plumage is not waterproof so wet weather can make hunting difficult.
