Awards presented for fantastic efforts
THE Towergate Accumulator Challenge saw a number of businesses presented with awards at Tuesday’s ceremony.
Tom Pellereau, 2011 winer of the BBC’s The Apprentice programme, presented the top award for the companies that had raised the most money.
First place was Jacobs Allen, which raised £9,476 through a race night and partnership fund-raising with other firms.
Second place went to last year’s winners CurveMotion, which raised £6,530 through a zumbathon and skateathon.
Third place went to Center Parcs, whose Olympic chocolate coins netted £4,279.
The community award was won by CurveMotion for its zumbathon which saw 211 women attending a three-hour zumba marathon.
The judges’ award for firm that did the most fund-raising went to Green Duck, which raised £1,900. Its events included a fun run.
The teamwork award went to Genzyme, in Haverhill, which raised £3,900, while the most innovative idea award was won by Center Parcs.
The small business achievement award was won by The Coffee House, which raised £3,379.
