Artists impress crowds with fitting forest shows

editorial image

Alfie Boe, Friday

Alfie Boe did not disappoint in terms of quality as the powerful tenor delivered a memorable show, the sound of which was complemented by the beautiful forest setting and Laura Wright’s stunning soprano voice.

His humorous introductions demonstrated how at ease he was on stage and he interacted with the audience, giving one couple a special anniversary present by dedicating to them his cover of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.

His talent shined through a varied repertoire of opera and musical theatre, as well as covers including the Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Elvis Presley and the Eagles, but I would have preferred more musical theatre.LS
