Ambulance provider receives glowing report

A Mildenhall based ambulance service has said it’s ‘absolutely thrilled’ to be ‘meeting and exceeding’ the standards required in key healthcare assessments.

Private ambulance operator, EMS Ambulance Service, has passed an unannounced inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) with no recorded failings and become a credited member of the Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire Critical Care Network.

EMS Ambulance Service’s operations director, Kal Wells, said: “The key focus for our organisation is always patients. We put patients at the forefront of everything we do.”

In recent months staff have created and adopted their own standards raising initiative called PACE, Passionate About Care and Excellence, which is applied across every level.

Mr Wells said they were ‘absolutely thrilled’ with the findings of the CQC’s report, which examined the service and care given, the treatment of patients, cleanliness and staffing.

The company has also received accreditation from the critical care network and can now respond to calls and transfer requests from intensive care units and other specialist departments across the region.
