After spending half a term learning about pirates key stage one students at Beck Row Primary School put their skills to the test.
The Tigers, Cougars and Panthers classes arrived at school dressed to embark on a intrepid treasure hunt.
After completing several challenges they located the treasure chest and claimed their prize.
The event was the culmination of half-a-term of pirate themed teaching.
Key stage one leader, Carolyn Winter, said: “It gave them a chance to become the pirates they had been learning about they were able to get in role and actively act out everything they had learnt. It was nice for them to have that opportunity.”
