A MOTHER of three has put vanity to one side to raise more than £800 for a Down Syndrome charity.
Kat Johnson-Hale, 26, from Mildenhall, is now sporting a trim hairstyle after taking the clippers to her head in aid of the Down Syndrome Association on Wednesday.
Kat was inspired by her one-year-old god-daughter, Lara, who has the condition and has received help from the charity.
“She’s such a joy to spend time with and always has a smile and a cuddle for me.
“If the charity can help children like her then me shaving my hair off is no sacrifice at all,” she said.
Lara’s mum, Amanda Newnham, was in charge of the clippers and Kat said she was ‘gobsmacked’ by the result.
She raised £860 in total.
