A WOMAN from Stowmarket, whose 38-year-old husband suffers from heart failure, is taking on a 60-mile midnight cycle ride to raise money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Judith Gamble, 32, is taking part in the London to Brighton Night Ride on May 26. Her husband David was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy in 2010 and has since had a difibrillator and pacemaker fitted to make sure his heartbeat remains stable.

Judith said: “David has been through an awful lot at such a young age. He is not able to work at the moment because his heart failure is making him so tired and breathless. It just shows how heart disease doesn’t just affect older people and this is why I want research to continue to help provide a brighter future for those who are suffering.”
