A 15-year-old schoolboy has set himself a tough challenge to raise money in memory of his aunt.

James Seal, from Old Newton, is set to embark on the Dunwich Dynamo, a 200km overnight cycle ride next weekend.

This will be the second time he has taken part, but this year he is going the extra mile to complete the route in a target time of eight and a half hours.

The Stowupland High School student hopes to raise funds for the St Elizabeth Hospice, which cared for his 45-year-old aunt, Sue Seal, who spent time there with bowel cancer before she died in March 2011.

“I want to give a little bit back to the hospice – they looked after my aunt really well there during her last few weeks,” he said.

He recently cycled from Edinburgh to Newcastle with his family. To sponsor James go to www.justgiving.com/sue-seal
