Jade’s singing helps Bury Free Press Beat It Appeal

Have your say

Generous shoppers and a funky flashmob have helped raise more funds for the Bury Free Press Beat It appeal.

Fairyfolk under the guidance of former infantryman Mike King staged a successful tombola outside the Apex on Saturday, raising £150 for our appeal and £150 for the Breast Cancer Campaign.

And there was a special appearance by talented singer Jade Donno from Sturmer who gave up her time to raise funds for our appeal with songs from the shows, which were much appreciated by people who sat and enjoyed the performance.

Jade, 18, is going to study Music with Musical Theatre at Chichester University and was a finalist in the Open Mic 2011 competition.

Her busking skills and great voice certainly helped encourage people to stop and donate.
