JOHNNY DEPP look-a-like Christopher Brading had his long locks shaved off for charity on Saturday, raising £1,500 for The Sick Children’s Trust.

Christopher, 39, from Bury St Edmunds, decided to undertake the hair-raising challenge after using the charity’s Home from Home accommodation when his son Bertie was seriously ill at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge.

At just four days old, doctors discovered Bertie’s food and wind pipe were interconnected, a condition called tracheo-oestophageal fistula.

He underwent surgery at the hospital while Christopher and Bertie’s mother Gemma stayed at The Sick Children’s Trust accommodation.

Christopher, who owns a local biofuel company, said: “When we found out it was run on donations we thought we’ve just got to raise some money for them. “Ever since the rumours that Johnny Depp has a home in Suffolk, I have been mistaken for him a lot so thought it was time for the hair to go. “I couldn’t see my hair as it was being shaved so had to gauge how it looked by the expressions on people’s faces.”
