Investment deal will see packaging firm expand

A leading manufacturer of ‘responsible’ packaging for the retail food industry, has signed a private investment deal.

Paragon Print and Packaging, who have a factory in Thetford, have completed the deal with Sun European Partners (SEP) for an undisclosed sum.

Paragon supply more than 1,800 customers including all major retailers and food manufacturers,

It said the deal will allow for further capital investment and overseas expansion.

New group chief executive at Paragon Mark Lapping said: “We have exciting plans to develop the business in our existing and new product sectors as well as through further acquisitions.”

Philippe Neuschaefer, vice presidentat SEP said: “Through our extensive packaging, retail expertise and know-how, we are looking forward to helping Paragon expand its leading position in the labelling market.”
