An inquest has been opened into the death of man on a level crossing.

An inquest has today (Wednesday) been formally opened into the death of man on a level crossing.

The body of Adrian Smith, 42, was found at the Cattishall Foot Crossing at Great Barton on March 24.

Suffolk Coroner Dr Peter Dean, sitting at Ipswich, said a post mortem examination had shown that Mr Smith, of Marley Close,

Thurston, died as a result of multiple injuries. Dr Dean, who adjourned the inquest to allow further inquiries to be made, said Mr Smith had been identified using fingerprints.
