Green fingered residents across Bury St Edmunds will once again be recognised for their gardening efforts with the return of a mystery certificate scheme by the town’s In Bloom group.
Judges will scour all corners of the town for gardens with eye-catching floral displays and award certificates to those they deem worthy ranging from a few colouful pots to a well maintained large garden.
They stress they are not looking for perfection and no entry is necessary.
Committee member Colin Taylor, who came up with the idea, said: “We had such a positive response last year - residents were delighted to find they had been awarded a certificate.”
The Bury Society has run Bury in Bloom for 27 years.
