ABOUT 500 people descended on a fun day to raise funds for current and former service personnel.
The crowds enjoyed an array of activities at the event which was organised by the Stanton district branch of the Royal British Legion.
Highlights included martial arts and zumba displays as well as a bouncy castle, balloon and snail races, a grand draw, bric-a-brac, ring the bell and candy floss.
The day at Stanton Recreation Ground raised more than £800 for the RBL County Benevolent Fund.
David Sexton, branch chairman, said: “It was a wonderful event and the weather was absolutely marvellous. We would like to thank everyone that came and supported us and most of all our stall holders who did so much work for us and the sub committee of our branch.
“We do have a lot of people coming back from war who are hurt and there are still those around that need our help.”
