More than 500 model train enthusiasts flocked to the Stowmarket Railway Club’s Train and Model Collectors’ fair on Sunday.
The event, at Needham Market Community Centre, had more than 40 stalls offering collectors the chance to buy, sell or swap their model railways, die cast cars, buses, lorries and planes.
David Vince, publicity officer for the club, said: “I don’t know if people ventured outside because of the lovely weather but we had big turnout.
“As well as the stalls we had our Thomas the Tank Engine layout which the kids loved having a go at.
“We had a number of model train layouts for people to look at and some demonstrations of metal workshops where people could bring their old trains that didn’t work and we’d help get them going again.
“But it was mainly a collectors’ fair with people selling, buying, swapping - that sort of thing.
“This event seems to be a favourite, we had so many people there we even ran out of refreshments.”
