Fire fighters extinguished an electricity pole on fire outside a school in Ixworth, early this morning.
It is thought 27 households had their power supplies disrupted by an overhead line fault, however UK Power Networks has said it is not yet known if this was the cause of the fire.
A crew from Ixworth responded to reports of a fire at Crown Lane at 2.40am, today. The power network also attended and removed fuses.
UK Power Networks has said power was restored to the majority of customers in the Crown Lane area by 7.53, this morning.
A spokesperson for UK Power Networks said: “Our engineers are working as quickly and as safely as possible to return power to the remaining two customers affected.
“We understand how difficult it is to be without electricity and we would like to apologise to those affected.”
The power network has said the cause of the disruption is being investigated.
