HUNDREDS of homes on Moreton Hall were without power on Friday.
UK Power Networks engineers worked to restore supplies to the estate following an underground cable fault on their high voltage network at around 2.40pm.
Initially, 2,605 households were affected but power was restored to 1,117 customers within five minutes, to 274 customers within half an hour and to a further 876 customers within 50 minutes.
The remaining 338 homes affected were all in the Mount Road area of the estate. They were left without power until around 4pm.
A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: “We appreciate how difficult it is to be without electricity and apologise to all those affected.”
