A home coming parade and medals ceremony for II Squadron RAF Regiment will be held in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday.
The parade for the RAF Honington-based regiment, which has been serving in Afghanistan, will begin at 11am when the servicemen and women will march out of the Abbey Gardens, through the Abbey Gate and up Abbeygate Street, through Cornhill and Woodhall Street to the arc’s Charter Square.
They will be welcomed in the square by St Edmundsbury’s Mayor Terry Buckle and RAF Station Commander Grp Capt Scott Miller.
ANgel Hill will be closed while they cross.
Greene King are supplying beer for the service personnel at a reception in The Apex afterwards.
