STAFF at Tesco in Haverhill dressed up in military gear as part of a fund-raiser for Help for Heroes.
Members of the Haverhill Lions and the town’s cadets joined in the fun for the event which raised £1,592 for the charity.
A message board where people could show their support to servicemen and women, an army command tent, and face painting were among the various activities that took place at the store on Friday and Saturday.
There were also collection buckets for the charity which helps injured servicemen and women.
The event was organised by Tesco community champion for the Haverhill branch, Claire Bowden.
It was all part of a national day of fund-raising by the supermarket chain across its 827 stores.
A spokesman for the Haverhill store said: “We had a fantastic weekend and raised £1,592.
“We are extremely grateful to all our customers for helping us to raise this huge amount.”
