The department of health hAS pledge to do more to support people with learning disabilities.

Reports have highlighted that people with learning disabilities come into hospital more often than the general population.

They tend to stay longer and do not have as good outcomes.

Paul’s role will give patients the chance for more suitable appointments, offer them the chance to meet staff in advance, give simple explanations about tests and show patients equipment which will be used.
