DRIVERS may be in for a shock if they spot the new billboard for the Girls’ Night Out charity event for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
The billboard, in Bury St Edmunds, features ‘naked’ women, with only the event’s slogan – Don’t forget your PJ’s – to cover their modesty. Hundreds of women are expected to don their pyjamas to walk the 11.2 mile course around Bury on September 17. This year, women will also be able to walk a shorter six mile route.
Last year’s event saw 250 women raise £80,000 for the hospice, which needs to raise £10,000 a day to provide its services.
Yasmin Jeffery, hospice head of marketing, said: “We want to encourage women in the area to take part, regardless of what size or age they are, but we also hope the billboard is not so distracting it causes an accident!”
