BREWERY staff have raise thousands of pounds to enable a clinic at West Suffolk Hospital to buy new equipment.

After a break in their annual fund-raising efforts, 12 months ago staff in Greene King’s financial shared services department resumed their charitable work.

With dress down days, a host of cake bakes and various raffles, a total of £3,000 was raised for the hospital’s eye clinic.

Organiser Annie Jarman said that the clinic was chosen because several staff, including herself, have had problems with their sight.

On Monday a cheque was handed to Andrew Ramsey, the hospital’s lead clinician in eye development, who will use it to buy better equipment for measuring pressure in eyes.
