Club makes life-saving donation
Brandon and District Rotary club present a portable blood pressure unit to the Neo Natal Department of the West Suffolk Hospital. PREMATURE babies at West Suffolk Hospital stand a better chance after a Rotary group donated a life-saving device.
Brandon and District Rotary Group raised £1,700 to pay for a neonatal portable blood pressure monitor for the hospital’s neonatal unit.
The group raised the money through its club activities throughout the year.
Matthew Arnold, district president, said the neonatal unit had been chosen for the donation because of the experiences of a number of the group’s members.
“I’ve got three grandchildren who were premature and another of our members had their baby cared for in a neonatal unit so this was the perfect cause,” he said.
