Students from Castle Manor Academy joined forces with the town’s community ambassadors to take part in Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean.

Their litter pick was around the Eastern Avenue and Parkway estates in Haverhill.

Becky Baldwin, the academy’s learning outside the classroom co-ordinator, said: “My students are always asking when the next litter pick is.

“They like to be doing something positive in their community.

“Events like these help students learn to be responsible citizens and they are proud to be involved.”

The academy has a big Eco team that has inspired other local schools to get involved in green projects.
