THREE school friends have shown that you are never too young to make a difference, after raising £55 for a GP’s surgery.

Charlotte Carter, 10, and her two friends Ella Scarrow and Lauren Otaviano applied a bit of elbow grease to raise money for the Friends of Market Cross Surgery in Mildenhall.

The Riverside Middle School pupil was inspired to lend a hand following Market Cross’s care for her late grandfather.

She said: “They really helped my grandad, and me and my friends thought it would be a good project to do some odd jobs to raise money.”

The girls turned their hand to everything from vacuuming and sweeping to washing cars for friends and neighbours.

The money was presented to the surgery by Charlotte last Monday and is set to be used on new equipment.
