Suffolk legend and president of the Nude Mountaineering Society, Hank Wangford, is bringing his Country Music Experience to the John Peel Centre on Saturday.

Hank, who has been performing his unique style of country music for more than 28 years, is appearing as part of his band The Fourtet featuring long-time friend Brad Breath, female vocalist Spanner Robinson and BJ Cole on slide guitar.

John Peel Centre Director Tarby Davenport said: “This is going to be a brilliant lively night, come and enjoy it.

“We are really pleased to bring Hank’s talent to Stowmarket for the first time.’

On Friday night the centre will host part of the Oxjam event to raise money for Oxfam with a headline performance by ska band Solko.

Fellow director Andrew Stringer said: “Saturday night will complete another busy weekend for us with our Oxjam fundraising concert happening on Friday night, so it’s dancing shoes Friday night and cowboy hats on Saturday night.”
