A crane lifts heavy vessels into Greene King as part of the Bury St Edmunds £750,000 investment in a new ‘innovation’ brewhouse.

Greene King says the new brewhouse, which will open on November 20, will allow it to draw on more than 200 years brewing experience, while experimenting with a range of new ingredients, yeasts, styles and flavours to enable more exploration into craft beer styles.

A small packaging area for both the on-trade and off-trade, wil also form part of the new brewhouse.

Chris Houlton, Managing Director of Greene King Brewing & Brands, said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for the business; the new brewery is a perfect opportunity for us to experiment and to showcase our brewing expertise.

“We are listening to our customers and investing in innovation.

“It is also a real chance to put into practice some of the ideas we have had before but until now have not been able to turn into reality.
