A Great Ashfield woman suffered potentially serious injuries yesterday after being thrown from her horse.
An ambulance and a volunteer doctor from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service charity were sent to the incident at around 1.50pm.
The horse is thought to have been spooked by a wasp causing it to unseat its rider.
The woman, who was in her 50s, was taken to the West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the woman was suffering from potential hip and pelvic injuries.
