RECRUITING the right person with the right skills, experience and character to make your business work can be difficult.
But it has never been easier thanks to The Bury Free Press.
Today, we launch TheSmartList – an easier, cost- effective and quicker way to recruit rather than having to sift through countless CVs.
Its simple – businesses seeking new staff for mid-level vacancies pay a fixed fee for a pre-screened shortlist of qualified candidates.
The scheme is being piloted by The Bury Free Press’ parent company Johnston Press.
It aims to cut out the time a company spends internally sifting through CVs or the amount and time and money it takes to look for someone through a recruitment agency.
Employers simply submit details of their vacancy and TheSmartList prepares a recruitment brief against which candidates are matched, using a tailored questionnaire to whittle down the list of candidates.
Johnston Press is one of the UK and Ireland’s biggest publishers with access to more than 200 newspapers, magazines and websites including JobsToday.co.uk which will enable it to get to some of the best recruits.
TheSmartList is also being offered at a reduced rate during its pilot phases. Businesses can fill job roles for £349 per vacancy instead of the standard £549.
The pilot scheme was launched across Johnson Press last week.
Stephen Anderson, who manages TheSmartList for Johnston Press, said: “We’ve already generated a great deal of interest for the service.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer this recruitment alternative which can help reduce costs and time for employers looking for new staff in a challenging climnate.”
