Fund-raising starts this weekend for seven-year-old Jordan Chaplin who suffers from a form of cerebral palsy, to undergo surgery in America to enable him to walk.

Mum Lynne needs to raise £50,000 so that Jordan, a pupil at Howard Primary School in Bury St Edmunds, can undergo the surgery on nerves in his spinal cord.

She will hold a car boot sale this Sunday (5) from 8am to 12pm, a charity dogs night on May 17 at Mildenhall Stadium and a pamper and shopping evening on May 24 at the Newbury Community Centre in Bury.

Tickets for the dogs night and pamper evening are available from Lynne on 07758 937079.
