A MOTHER and daughter team are running the London Marathon to raise awareness about rare skin conditions.

Jan Blofield, 47, is running the marathon with her daughter Amy Blofield, 22.

They are raising money for DebRA, a charity which promotes awareness about Junctional EB.

Jan’s niece died of the rare skin blistering condition when she was only one month old.

Jan said: “We chose the charity because until my niece was born I had never heard of the condition – it’s so little known.

Jan has run 15 marathons before, but this will be the first time Amy has joined her.

The pair hope to raise £3,500.
