FUND-RAISERS are planning to dress up and put their best foot forward in a colourful charity conga.

A wacky conga line will assemble at Asda, in Western Way, on July 29 to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

Chris Holmes, of Asda said: “There will be a real party atmosphere at the start and along the way. “We will make sure it is a fun afternoon so I urge people to sign up.”

Anyone can take part in the conga, which will travel from the supermarket to Newbury Community Centre where there will be refreshments and entertainment.

Asda is asking people to make a donation of £4 per person or £12 for a group of four.

The conga line is part of the supermarket’s plan to turn £50 into as much money as possible as part of the hospice’s Towergate Accumulator Challenge.
