A FUN-PACKED community event has raised £1,600 for St Nicholas Hospice Care, in Bury St Edmunds.
The funds were raised at the annual Moreton Hall Community Centre fun day, held in July, and presented to the charity last month.
Liz Spillane, hospice community fund-raiser, said: “It sounds like the fun day was a great community and family event. A large number of volunteers helped out on the day, so the hospice is thankful to them and the community centre organisers for raising such a fantastic sum.”
The day included a football tournament, alongside many stalls and activities, with UK Power Networks Zebedee Castles donating all the profits from their rides.
Individuals and local organisations which use the club in Symonds Road hosted stalls and gave donations to the charity.
