The Fox Inn in Bury St Edmunds which has been run by Ron and Sheila Blackmore for nine years is to be taken over as a managed house by Greene King from July 1.

It is unclear why Ron and Sheila are leaving the pub in Eastgate Street with neither the pub nor Greene King willing to clarify the situation.

A Greene King spokesperson, said: “The Fox in Bury is a fantastic pub and we think it is a good fit within our Old English Inns division.
