DRIVERS experienced delays of up to 95 minutes yesterday following a four car collision on the A143 at Chedburgh.
Police were called at around 4.40pm to reports of a car on its side in a ditch close to Horringer.
When police arrived they found a white Ford transit van, a silver Mitsubishi Shogun, a green Nissan Primera and a silver Vauxhamm Frontera had been involved in a collision.
The fire service was called at around 5pm.
Crews from Wickhambrook, Haverhill and a rescue vehicle from Bury St Edmunds attended and cut the roof off the Nissan Primera.
The A143 was blocked entirely for around two hours, with diversions put in place for drivers travelling northbound and southbound.
The ambulance service was also called and treated an elderly woman at the scene for minor injuries.
