GANGSTERS and their molls danced the night away at the spectacular setting of the West Wing at Ickworth House on Saturday and raised £1,500 for the Cancer Research UK Relay for Life event.

Flappers and their twenties-style slinky dresses scarves and headdresses made it a colourful evening with a 1920s jazz trio entertaining the guests in the orangery for the Champagne reception ,which was followed by a three-course meal in the Gallery.

St Edmundsbury Mayor Cllr Ian Houlder and his wife attended and an eight-piece band played throughout the evening, where prizes donated by local companies were raffled.

The Relay for Life is at Ickworth Park on July 30 and 31.
