Sea Cadets are hoping companies will join the armed forces in supporting their fund rasing Royal Marines Band concert in August.
The band offered to put on a concert after hearing TS St Edmunds (Mayors Own), based in Bury St Edmunds, was raising money to build a new headquarters. The concert will also raise money for Help for Heroes
It will be at The Apex on August 10 and 11 , with a pre-concert event in the arc on August 3 when the Army and RAF will join in raising the concert’s profile.
The RAF is also housing while they are in Suffolk but the concert will cost about £10,000 so the cadets want more sponsors.
Coordinator John French said: “It really is important if we are to ensure as much money as possible goes towards the two charities.”
Greene King has already stepped in and The Greengage, Greyhound, and Spread Eagle pubs will provide catering for the 42 marines.
