Firefighters have dealt with a large area of smouldering undergrowth in a forest in Brandon.
An engine from Brandon attended at 11.13am and used beaters to tackle the fire.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue said: “Due to a difficult access, crew requested assistance of Unimog which was sent from Bury St Edmunds.
“The fire was embedded deep into the ground, crews used spades and shovels to dig around the fire and used the hose to extinguish the fire.”
An engine from Norfolk also attended at 1.26pm and the fire was under control by 1.49pm.
