A FIRE caused damage to a factory in Risby which makes compressed heating logs.
Fire crews from Bury St Edmunds and a water carrier from Newmarket were called to Bridgebrooke Energy after a fire broke out in a building at its site in Newmarket Road, Risby at 6:52am this morning.
Crews used breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire before removing the eco heating logs from the warehouse.
The blaze was under control by 8:17am and fire crews left the scene at 9:00am.
The company which makes the Hotties from compressed wood said this morning that the fire had caused ‘minor damage’ and that they expect production to be up and running again at the beginning of next week.
