FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a fire at the waste recycling centre at Lackford.
Crews from Bury St Edmunds were called to the blaze at about 6.15am. A spokesman for the fire service said the fire is in a building measuring 30m by 30m and containing about 120 tons of rubbish and machinery.
The firefighters had to wait for a digger to arrive to open steel roller shutter doors to get to the fire. Crews are still on scene.
