Female pillon passenger hospitalised after Norton crash

A pillon passenger on a motorcycle has to be taken to hospital after a crash on the A1088 at Norton yesterday.

It happened at about 2pm at the crossroads close to The Dog pub.

The 44-year-old woman who was a pillon passenger on a red Honda motorcycle, was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.

Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The 48-year-old male motorbike rider suffered minor injuries while a 30-year-old man who was driving a grey Renault Clio, involved in the crash, was uninjured.

A volunteer doctor from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service charity was called out to assist paramedics at the scene of road traffic crash.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance was also sent to the scene.
