Fashion glamour to help hospice

a glamorous fashion show, held at the West Wing, Ickworth, raised money for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

The event, organised by Sharon Ridgeon, Jane Vincent and Pauline Liberti, raised £3,766,

The evening consisted of a two course meal and fashion show which showcased Bury St Edmunds retailers including Scarlet, Anne Furbank, Six Whiting Street and Paul Stephens.

Abby Mayes, hospice corporate fund-raiser, described the evening as ‘fantastic’, adding that donations of this type were vital to the work of the hospice.

Sharon, who is manager at the Bury branch of NatWest, said: “My husband’s mother died of leukaemia and she was in and out of the hospice. Seeing the care she received made me want to do something for it.”
