THREE lecturers at West Suffolk College are organising a fancy dress fund-raising event ahead of a charity cycle challenge.
Anthony Harvey, Chris Steele, and Michael Nelson will pedal from John O’Groats to Land’s End (Jogle) in July, averaging more than 100 miles a day.
To kickstart fund-raising, they have organised a fancy dress event at Moreton Hall Social Club, in Bury St Edmunds, on June 1, with raffle prizes, live music, and other entertainment.
Tickets, costing £5, are on sale at the College Shop or can be booked by emailing email@example.com
The Jogle Project will raise money for the Rainbow Ward at West Suffolk Hospital, Macmillan Cancer Care and Cancer Research.
Ten per cent will also go to the West Suffolk College hardship fund, for learners who need extra financial support.
Anthony Harvey, course director for Sports Performance, said: “These are all charities close to our hearts. Anyone who can’t make the event can still support the Jogle project by sending a donation. We hope we will not be sitting on a bike for nine days for nothing.”
