POWERHOUSE is a multi-media exhibition of works inspired by the endurance, skill, flexibility and discipline of Olympic athletes.
The highlights of the exhibition are two performance pieces by duo Wood and Harrison.
The works see them clumsily test their own physical prowess as they embark on a series of amusing challenges.
One wall of the gallery displays more than 200 thumbnail photographs compiled by Jo Longhurst showing Olympians from across the years contorted into the shapes that have become synonymous with their disciplines.
All the artists included in the exhibition have taken a theme that, in the year of London 2012, many are tiring of and produced works that are interesting, imaginative and at times amusing – even the most Olympic-cynic should find something to enjoy.
Powerhouse is showing at Smiths Row gallery, Cornhill, until June 30. EL
